i popped my cherry… cocktail

some cocktails are built to be sipped slowly on a rooftop bar by someone named stefan. this is not one of those cocktails.

this one is bold, a little bit flirty, and best enjoyed somewhere slightly inappropriate — like your cousin’s baby shower or a tuesday afternoon. it’s the kind of drink that says “i probably shouldn’t,” and then does anyway. we call it: pop my cherry.

it’s juicy. it’s deep. it’s kind of chaotic. and yes, it’s made with our shiraz.

what's in it:

  • 90ml shiraz (yes, wine in a cocktail. trust us.)
  • 45ml elderflower liqueur
  • 15ml chambord (aka fancy raspberry liqueur)
  • 60ml black cherry seltzer
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • crushed ice or one of those giant boujee cubes
  • fresh berries to top

how to make it:

  • chuck everything in a shaker and stir.
  • pour over ice — crushed if you’re going for slushy vibes, one big cube if you want to feel grown up.
  • top with fresh berries, take a sip and realise you’re never going back to boring drinks again.

why it slaps:

our shiraz brings the depth — rich and spicy with all those dark fruit vibes. the elderflower keeps things floral and fresh, while the chambord + cherry seltzer combo gives you that sweet-tart, berry punch. the lemon juice? it’s the balancing act, the zing, the “let’s go again.”

pop my cherry is not a delicate drink. it’s messy in the best way. it’s lipstick on the rim, sticky fingers, and that one friend who’s always half an hour late but brings the party. it’s for people who like their cocktails cold, fruity, and slightly dangerous.

serve it at your next bbq. or don’t. just keep it for yourself and pretend you’re “testing the recipe.” either way, you’re winning.

cool sh*t
