so… wine enthusiast thinks we’re kind of cool. (someone tell our mum)

who said you need a crazy price tag and all that old-school prestige to make bloody good wine? turns out… we might be proving them all wrong.

our DTM 2024 smashable red just scored 91 points and landed on wine enthusiast’s best buys of 2026 list, recognising some of the best wines under $20.

if you’re sitting there wondering, “okay… cool. but what actually is wine enthusiast, and why should I care?” – let us paint you a picture.

so… who is wine enthusiast?

think of them as that mate who actually knows their wine – but doesn’t make you feel like an idiot for asking questions. for over 40 years, they’ve been one of the world’s most respected wine publications, with a global team of reviewer’s blind-tasting and scoring thousands of wines every single year.

but they’re just as obsessed with the “lifestyle” of wine – the travel, the food, and the good times – as they are with the technical stuff, they’re the gold standard for finding a bottle that’s actually worth your money.

and the “best buy” list we landed on? that’s their way of highlighting wines that deliver massive quality without the intimidating price tag. they look for wines that are just plain delicious, regardless of whether you’re a sommelier or someone who just wants some great wine to enjoy with your mates.

basically… they’re our kind of people.

why this means so much to us?

truth is, we never started don’t tell mum to chase points, medals or fancy accolades.

we started DTM because we wanted to make good juice that people actually wanted to drink. wine that could be shared with your mates on a friday night, taken to a BBQ, or cracked open on the couch because… well, it’s tuesday. so, to have a publication like wine enthusiast come along and basically say, “yep, these guys are doing exactly that,” feels pretty damn special.

it’s a little bit like your older sibling finally admitting you might actually be kind of cool.

we’ll take it.

anyway, were stoked about this and are so excited to share it with you all – and honestly wine enthusiast really get it – the whole breaking down barriers thing, making something that’s there to be enjoyed not just gawked at because of an expensive price tag. like, how cool is that?!?

if you’re keen to learn a little more about wine (without the snobbery), have a read through some of the articles on the wine enthusiast website. you might just discover something new.

and while you’re at it… maybe crack open a bottle of DTM. they seem to think it’s pretty good too 😉

cheers to good scores, and even better vino.
