tree planting day with our mates
nothing says “sunday well spent” like digging holes in the dirt with a hundred legends, followed by a barbecue and bottomless wine.
last weekend, we teamed up with our friends at biodiversity mclaren vale to do a little something for this patch of the planet we call home. the mission? bring the good bugs back, boost local biodiversity, and give the land a bit of love.
armed with gloves, shovels, and questionable playlists, we managed to plant 750 trees and do a heap of maintenance on our previous planting site — with 100 volunteers showing up to get their hands dirty
we’re talking native seedlings, oodles of carbon storing cottage mulch, and enough happy kids to make david attenborough tear up.
after the last tree was tucked into its new home, we did what any sensible crew would do: fired up the barbecue and poured the wine. bottomless DTM drops, naturally — because nothing pairs better with land care than a cold glass of sparkling red and a snag.
huge thanks to everyone who came along, dug deep (literally), and helped make the day a muddy, magical, wine-soaked success. we’ll be back at it soon — with more trees, more laughs, and probably more wine than strictly necessary.
cheers to giving a damn 🌱
